Claire Ribeyron
wall sculpture, paper

After studying art and literature, and spending a long period working in photography, Claire Ribeyron tried her hand at paper sculpture and succeeded. She bends strips of paper approximately two millimetres wide to create abstract or figurative panels. A lover of maps, she interprets several urban networks near and far, but she also excels at rendering the meanders of the Mississippi River or fantastical plants. Full of finesse and lightness, her works also play on the chosen background and their shadows, and the strips seem to vibrate as the eye moves.
A sensitive and sensual work that captivated us.
